Interaction-Patterns.org:About
From Interaction-Patterns.org
This Wiki is a constant growing collection of interaction patterns. At the moment many of the patterns are simply copied from other well-known pattern libraries such as www.welie.com or the Yahoo! Design Pattern Library. But there are two aspects that make this pattern catalogue different from others. First, this site runs on Mediawiki. Thus the emphasis of this site is on collaboration. And second, we thought of a way to organize the patterns. Another detail we're especially proud of is the embedded video hosted by Vimeo which we use to document the patterns. We're excited to work on this project and hope that other people will soon be too.
In the distant future we hope to present science-based pros and cons for some of the patterns here. At the moment we are still working on the patterns and their documentation. We also try to find research articles about the patterns but this is harder to accomplish than initially thought.
If you know about interaction patterns you're welcome to participate in our wiki. Help us build a community of people interested in interaction design and particularly in patterns. Edit articles, add text or embed more videos. Whatever you do feel free to contribute with your knowledge. |
